Certificate Programs

The department offers continuing education classes which offer students an opportunity to obtain certificates in Assistive Technology or Management and Leadership in the Non-Profit Disability Organization.

Students

The Assistive Technology Certificate Program is designed for working professionals to learn more about the different technology that can help people with disabilities lead more independent lives. This is an option for people who want to learn more without going through the full Masters' degree program. Students choose 4 out of 6 classes to take.These courses can be applied towards Master of Science degree.

The certificate program in Management and Leadership in the Non-Profit Disability Organization provides professionals with advanced administration and disability policy skills through training in organizational theory, leadership, and specific operational skills in funding, advocacy, and knowledge of contemporary disability issues, state and national disability policy, and emerging rehabilitation practices.
