Welcome from the Director

Welcome to the new website of the Institute on Disability and Human Development (IDHD) in the Department of Disability and Human Development, University of Illinois at Chicago. It is designed to give you updated information on our activities and resources. These include public service, research, and academic programs and centers focused on removing barriers for people with disabilities and promoting their full participation in community living.

In addition to information on our programs, this site lists upcoming events and updates on the latest news at the Institute. The resource page includes resources for students, for people with disabilities, and for provider organizations. We have also included recent publications of the institute and our newsletter, The ALERT . In this first issue of the reinstituted ALERT we highlight each of our programs.
